Privacy Policy

Kakunin Bell handles the information needed to check with family for the purposes and within the scope below. This applies to this site and the app after distribution begins. The app is currently in preparation.

The app does not register bank-account or card information. It does not record or transcribe calls, or store free-text descriptions of checks. It does not read your address book. Do not include unnecessary information such as passwords or bank-account numbers in support messages.

3. Information shared with family

Anyone holding a valid invitation QR code or link can see the inviting administrator’s display name, including before signing in. Applicants also see that name while awaiting approval. The family member list and phone numbers are shown only after the administrator approves participation. Names, roles, and phone numbers are visible within the registered family. Requests can be viewed by the sender and selected recipients. Status and the responsible person are visible to people with access to that request. Selecting the whole family includes all members.

Notifications may show the sender’s name and that a request exists. Lock-screen contents can be changed in iPhone settings. Share invitation codes only with the intended participant.

4. External services and third-party provision

The service uses Google Cloud, Firebase, Apple and Google authentication and notifications, and Cloudflare. App advertising uses Google AdMob and UMP consent management. Services used for support email are listed in the external services list.

Personal information is not provided to third parties without consent except for user-initiated family sharing, necessary outsourcing, legal requirements, and similar permitted cases. Family names, phone numbers, and Firebase user IDs are not configured for ad targeting. Advertising SDKs collect information separately; non-personalized ads do not eliminate data transmission.

5. Storage location and overseas processing

Firestore storage for requests and the app API use Google Cloud’s Tokyo region. Not all processing stays in Japan. Firebase Authentication operates in the United States; notifications, authentication, ads, and delivery may use providers’ facilities worldwide.

Contracts and safeguards for overseas processing are reviewed under applicable law. Required consent and information procedures are followed. For provider details, see External services and advertising.

6. Security and retention

Information is protected through encryption, authentication, family- and recipient-based access control, restricted administrative rights, and updates. The operator may handle information as needed for maintenance, incidents, and legal compliance. Safeguard details are available through support to the extent disclosure does not impair security.

Account, family, and request information is retained while needed for the service and deleted upon request except where retention is needed for law or abuse prevention. Deleting an iPhone app account removes the authentication account, name, phone number, notification destinations, and related request history; shared family members can no longer view that history. If an administrator deletes an account, administration transfers to a remaining family member and existing invitations are invalidated. If no members remain, the family is deleted. History is not automatically deleted after a fixed number of days. Technical logs, backups, and external systems follow their retention and processing periods; immediate deletion from every system is not guaranteed.

7. Choices, access, correction, and deletion

Phone numbers can be changed in the app. Notification permissions and contents can be changed in iPhone settings. Advertising consent choices, where shown, can be reviewed in app settings.

Requests for access, correction, suspension, deletion, or cessation of provision of held personal data or third-party provision records are accepted through the personal-data and account contact and handled under law after necessary identity verification. If a request cannot be fulfilled, the reason will be explained. Signing out or deleting the app does not delete cloud accounts or history.

8. This website

This site contains no app sign-in, family registration, contact form, ads, or independently installed analytics tags. Ordinary browsing does not send family information. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and request details for delivery and protection against unauthorized access.

Email links compose a message using your chosen email service. After opening an external site, that site’s policies apply.

9. Updates

This policy is updated as information handling, services, or laws change, with the update date shown. Important changes are announced on the site or app, with consent obtained where needed.
